Updated Thursday, August 6th, 2020

We appreciate your support as we work diligently and cautiously to return to you the full membership experience. The safety of our members, guests and associates will continue to be top priority. We are focused on providing a clean and sanitized environment at Maggie Valley Club. Thank you in advance for your compliance of the rules and restrictions ordered by the state and local authorities.

Under Executive Order 155, North Carolina remains in Safer At Home Phase 2 of lifting COVID-19 restrictions until at least Friday, Sept. 11. People are also required, with some exceptions, to wear face coverings while out in public when physical distancing of 6 feet is not possible. Does this Order require North Carolinians to wear face coverings?

Yes. People are now required to wear face coverings in public spaces, whether inside or outside, where physical distancing of six feet is not possible. This includes but is not limited to:
  • Retail Businesses (Golf Shop)
Retail businesses must have all workers wear face coverings. Retail businesses must also have all customers wear face coverings when they are inside the establishment and may be within six feet of another person, unless the customer comes under an exception identified in the Order.
  • Restaurants (Pin High, Veranda and Renaissance)
Restaurants must have all workers wear face coverings. Restaurants must also have customers wear face coverings when not at their table, unless the customer comes under an exception identified in the Order.

Click on the link above to see the entire Executive Order. The exceptions are listed on Page 7 of Executive Order No. 147.

Do I need to wear a face covering while exercising or walking outdoors?

No. If you are able to safely maintain at least six feet distance from others, you do not need to wear a face covering when exercising and walking outdoors.
